LR4 Halogen Bulb Upgrading - Highly Recommended

Mystery solved then. So let's recap... 2010 = LED side markers AND iPod cable. 2011 = Suck on it!

Hahaha! But there are some features that the 2011 folks got that the 2010 people do not have.... Even so, I wish they kept the 2010 features and just added to it. Ugh!!!!!

For sure! Are you gonna change out your other bulbs today? I wanna see if our fake side light sockets have juice, otherwise I am gonna return my LED bulbs. I'll be sure to let everyone know!

Unfortunately due to work constraints I will not be able to get them installed until next Tuesday. Will take a pic once I get them in. I only had ordered 2 sets of H11s and 1 set of H7s for Low Beams, Fogs, and High Beams. I hadn't ordered the side marker LEDs. But I would love to know if there is juice there. If there is I will order those and get them turned on. Another interesting note I called another dealership today and asked them about turning on the DRLs and he said yes they could do it but that they would have to switch something to a Canadian build or Foreign build or something. He also told me that LR no longer gives them (service dept) a printout of things that can be customized i.e. turned on or off for the customer upon delivery. He said LR used to do that but not anymore.

I will let you know if there is juice to the side lights. Are you going to have the DRLs turned on? I want to have DRLs, but I don't want them to change my build. I guess if I want DRLs, I have to turn on my lights. Honestly, I think it's silly they don't have this as a self-adjustable feature!!!

I don't need them turned on. If there is juice to the socket then I would put bulbs in and utilize them when my lights are turned on. But I don't think I would go to the trouble of having the dealer program them on. Yeah let me know. Are you doing it soon?

Yes, I'm going to do it tonight or tomorrow morning. I have a strong feeling that there is no juice going to that bulb socket. But, I will let you know. It's good you waited to get the LEDs as they may not even work.

I hope there is juice runnig to them but It looks like they gave the 2011 the signature lighting and took away the side markers. I do not have the signature lighting in my 2010.
I am baffled as to why LR would do this.

No worries at all buddy... You could not have known! Really, it's no worries. I'm going to test them out later and if they don't work I can send them back. I'll keep everyone posted!!!

I agree ... this is typically the case ... it appears the the LR bean counters swizled options / features to squeeze as much as they can out of their customers. Really, charging $75 for a cable that costs a few bux (for 2011) ... not giving signature lighting for 2010 non-lux .. even thought the lights LOOK like they have them and all the photos show them on! I was duped with that one, oh well ... I still love the truck nonetheless.
