    2005 LR3 Key Issue #2

If you no longer have the original proper FOBs, go to your Dealer and pony up some money as there is no way around it. That said, replacing the battery on a dead FOB is workable with some skill and can be done for under $15 per FOB.

    Resolution: Leaky 06 LR3

My concern was not the amount, but rather what type of oil. $30 for tranny fluid doesn't compute. That should be somewhere in $100-$150 range and even then a bargain. It's your tranny, but I'd be asking them some hard questions as to what they put back into your rig.

    Resolution: Leaky 06 LR3

The only thing I'd be concerned about is the $30 for tranny fluid. A single quart of of ZF Lifegard6 is approx $20. I ended up using almost 8 quarts to perform dialysis on mine. It would be worth checking your paperwork to see what they put back in your tranny. Run of the mill ATF and the ZF...

    New Key Fob

Take your existing FOB and give it a good whack against something. That made mine suddenly start working again and bought me enough time to source a new one. I bought new empty FOB "shells" and replacement rechargeable batteries on eBay. Removing the circuit boards from the FOB will render the...

A new twist on EAS problems....

I'm it Ottawa as well. Bonnatti Grey 05 with an LR4 style grille. My last visit to that dealer ended my relationship with them. They are completely reckless with other people's money. $42 for a signal light bulb comes to mind. I also do my own work, but when I moved here from NB, I figured I'd...

A new twist on EAS problems....

That is hands down the worst LR dealer I've ever dealt with. They are fantastic with driving up the labour charges without really fixing anything.

A new twist on EAS problems....

The reason why I disagree with this is that by the sounds of it, the compressor has no problem building pressure to get it from Access Mode to Normal height, but won't allow Off-Road height.

A new twist on EAS problems....

I had the same issue. My money is on one of your height sensors. That was my issue, but I ended up doing a coil conversion anyway as all my suspension stuff was worn out.

    Rust & the LR4

Rust & the LR4 My 05 looks damn good after 9 winters in the salt belt. The outer body is perfect and the frame only shows surface rust in areas like welds etc, but I'd say better than 90% of the frame is still wearing its original paint. I completely replaced all of my suspension bushings...

    06 LR3, High Compressor usage

Or get yourself a IID Tool and reflash your compressor software along with a ton of other things. Frankly IMO, the IID Tool is a must for an out of warranty Land Rover. Mine has paid for itself twice over in the few months I've had it.

    Clunking Sounds

I've been running the Orange Polybushes since last July. The entire rig, front to rear, and top to bottom. The ride is a tiny bit firmer, but all the misc clunks are long gone and the rig handles like a dream. Even at -25*c when you'd expect them to be really stiff; they are excellent. The only...

    Lower Control Arm Bushing Change

I've also been running the full set of orange Polybush (front and rear, upper and lower) for a few thousand miles now. I did the Swaybar bushings at the same time. I'm very pleased with the results. They are nice and quiet. The ride is a tad firmer, but nothing like some of the horror stories...

Rear Wheel Bearings: Timkin or Moog Part Numbers?

Hey Fellas, I've been chasing my tail throwing parts at my LR3. I'm pretty certain that my rear wheel bearings are on their way out. When I pulled the rear hubs a few months back I noticed that the wheel bearings were made by Timkin, but I forgot to snap a pic of the part number. I'd like...
