Hi All,

I have a set of LED driving lamps (Rigid Industries) and I would like to install them on my A bar (I do have the mounting kit). Has anyone installed the driving lights on D4 WITHOUT the use of the OEM Lamp kit (which is $900 here in the US)? Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Michal

Michael,

I just installed a pair of Rigid Industries Dually D2 Spots, using existing bolts under the hood and custom-made brackets by a friend of mine. I have attached a couple of pics to show the location. The brackets posed a huge challenge for my friend, and I'm not sure I could even begin to describe how it was done. As far as putting them in front of the grille like traditional driving lights, you may be able to find something to attach them to... but since I went with the spot beams, I wanted them higher up (by the windshield). I will PM you my email address in case you'd like more pics or info. Good luck.

Brandon

Hey Michal,

Nice seeing you on here! :) Do you have the protection bar on your LR4? I don't remember seeing it?

I hope you can get some feedback, would love to see the driving lights installed. I am putting four on my rack at some point.

Hi David,

I got an awesome deal on a protection bar from my local LR dealer and thus pulled a trigger on it. I am not a fan of ARB front bumpers and thus decided to go the OEM route. The protection bar is actually better than what I expected but mainly it is to protect the radiator if I hit something.

Let me know if you will attend the MORG in November. Other NCLRCLUB members are thinking of a Lost Coast trip for that weekend but I am still not entirely sure what to do.

Hey Michal,

That's great - at least it offers some protection. You are a bit more crazy on the trails than I am - haha! :)

I am still up in the air about the November MORG as my mom will be in town, but will let you know. I definitely can't do the Lost Coast trip this time. I am anxious to try out my new tires!

These look like a great solution and match the style of your truck.

Looks great. I think a 20" bar would look great there as well.

You do like the bars! :)

I think I am going to get a pair of Duallys soon - at least to use as back-up lights and then need four (4) more for my light mounts.

Just sent you a text...

Got it David!

Has anyone added an auxiliary back-up lamp to the rear ladder? I'd like to add a single Dually D2 Flood there eventually. I think it should be easy to attach with a clamp-style mount.
