More seriously, I know it is a bit of a gamble. But when you know that a shop has destroyed something, and you want proof of that, you can’t just replace what was there, let alone with something that you don’t know the history of. I will be going back to this shop asking for compensation for what I’ve had to do. If they want to go to court, I have air fares, legal fees and other expenses that were necessitated by this fiasco that I’ll be seeking compensation for, too. I don’t want to be a **** about this, but for crying out loud…they ruined my transmission. I just want a fair payment for what trouble they caused.

Ah! Apologies. And thanks for the interest.

Yes, after a couple of interviews with the shop's insurance company, I ended up getting a check from insurance that covered air fare and the transmission. Transmission is still working great, and I can still highly recommend Marsh Transmission in Tigard, Oregon for this kind of work.
