Will I need a new suspension air compressor eventually?

The one I was watching on eBay sold for $106. Brand new Land Rover part. I hope if I ever need one I can get that deal!

Funny seeing this thread...I'm going to need a new air compressor on my 05 with 42K miles. Took it in for a tire rotation, and after bringing the car down from the lift, the suspension went crazy and I'm getting SUSPENSION FAULT messages.

Took it in to a rover shop and after testing said I need a new compressor and an exhaust valve. Dealer prices on parts are insane.

So, what I'm trying to say is that it's not a bad idea to have a spare since these parts seem to die instantly.

I also found that my dealer was quick to blame and replace the compressor on mine twice, when it was the front height sensors that had gone bad. Possibly, the sensor caused the compressor to run excessively and burn up. I could not understand how the backend could still go up & down normally, and the tech still believe the LR diag computer the compressor was the problem.

I have thought about setting up a T on the suspension compressor to be able to use my tire air compressor as an emergency backup. More research still required...
