The other day I noticed the passenger side rear bumper side marker light was out. So, I reached under the bumper and pulled the bulb assembly out of the housing. The bulb still looked good, but I pulled it out of the socket anyway. When I did water poured out of the socket. There was enough water that it appeared the water was actually up in the line itself.

So, two questions. Where did this water come from? Anyone else ever have this happen?
The light is still not working. Any ideas on a fix? Ok, that's actually three questions.

Thanks,
Jeremiah

Water comes from the sky or the ground (sorry couldn't help myself) sounds like a leaking assembly.

I have seen it happen on rovers and many other cars and trucks.

I would check the plug to make sure it isn't corroded so bad that it will not work.

My two front fog lamps down on the air dam have water in them up to and sometimes past the bulbs - a very cool effect when lit - I am surprised they haven't shorted out by now. The trouble is not always the bulb holder seals or other gaskets as I have noticed fine cracks in many of these water-logged lamps; but it happens to other manufacturers as well - probably due to slow UV breakdown of the lense plastic. Givre any of these exterior lamps enough time and they will start to ship water by varying degrees.
