Towing a 2 horse trailer with my RR Sport 2012 HSE

I live in San Diego and want to know what type of towing package is recommended to tow a 2 horse, not aluminum horse trailer? Not always a horse inside, but if so just 1.

Mostly for evacuation purposes total weight with horse around 3500 lbs.

Any suggestions and who would I contact for installation?

The Landy is a 2012 Range Rover Sport HSE V8

It’s good to tow 7700lbs. If you remove the cover in the centre of the bumper it may be fitted out to some degree for towing. There is a Land Rover specific quick release receiver which just clicks in place. The wiring may or may not be there . Both are available at Atlantic British. Check under the trunk floor in case you get really lucky and the hitch receiver is stored there already. The wiring kit if you need it is plug and play but requires removing the driver side panel in the trunk and the rear bumper as you have to disconnect the original wiring and replace it with the trailer wiring. Straightforward enough. Took me about 2-3 hours when I did mine. Found the receiver hitch on Kijiji . AB also sells a cheaper bolt in receiver as opposed to the quick release. Hope that helps.

If it’s the same as the RRS which is based off of the LR3 it would be stored under the floor board in the trunk .
