thermostat ?

just noticed this yesterday...while at ideal and heat is all the way up it blow's cold air but when rpm is and highway speed it's fine...am i low on water or need new thermostat...if it is the thermostat can someone tell' me where it is located and if i do have to go to the dealership

Sounds more like you are low on coolant... you may want to check before you over heat. The first thing that will indicate low coolant is lack of heat. Then you get overheat.... i.e. ruin the engine.

ok well just checked it was low about a gallon of coolent....now the question is why or how did it get low ...it's not leaking anywhere...

Trust me when I say that if a Rover is not leaking it is out of fluids....

I would be willing to say that it is either leaking out the back of the intake valley gasket or out of one of the hose clamps...
