I'm guessing it's a typo, myself. Either meant 275/65 or 285/60...Earth calling d_block, come in, d_block !!!

According to Nitto's website you can't get Trail Grapplers in 275/65 or 285/60. The 285/65 is 32.83"

Good sluething! Okay so I can believe that the LR3 can take a tire that is 0.72" bigger than the 275/65R18s....but there will be one of three things involved:

1. Rubbing
2. Suspension Faults (because you'd be so close to the limit that "out-of-range"
faults will be happening all the time; or
3. Spacers

Got my gear all sorted on the rack a few weeks ago.


There is plenty of rash on the vehicle nowadays. This summer I'm looking to add a rear bumper with swing away tire carrier (most likely Tactical 4x4's), the list of to do mods is lengthy.

Nice looking set up! I like that terrain feature cover plate. Lately I've bumped the DSC button a few times and it's taken me a while to realize it since I rarely use those - yet.
Where did you get the plate cover? LR?
I'm also faced with the usual tire question - what to get for my stock LR3 HSE 19" rims since I don't do a lot of off roading but like the capability for snow/ice, sand, pavement, and mud. Good looking rims and tires.

I had to sell my LR3, last January, unfortunately, but I really liked the Cooper Zeon LTZs for my 19" rims. At the time, they were the most aggressive tire you could find for the 19" rims, in America. I'm not sure if there is a better one out, now.

It looks like GoodYear now makes the Wrangler Duratracs in the correct size for LR3s with 19" rims. That is a good off-road tire.
