Wow! I started this thread 6 years ago...didn't think I'd still have my 2005 at this point, but man it's at 214,000 miles and I still haven't found anything I want to replace it with. Holding my breath that the "LR5" is something I'll like.
Anyhow, after that original awful set of Goodyears, a set or two or Pirellis and a few sets of Michilins (by far, best of the three) I finally secured a set of NOKIANS!!!
Just so happened that the price was right at the time I needed them...for the same price as a set of Dueler H/Ls I was able to get the
NOKIAN WRG3 SUVs ordered and I'm looking forward to the change.
I almost bought a cheaper set of General Grabbers that I heard good things about, but upon investigation I read a lot of reviews I didn't like and the manufacturer doesn't recommend you keep them on for any winter driving beyond light snow.
Looking forward to a new set of tires that I've only read about! So, thanks for 6 years of tips!
