So I replaced the fuel filter in my 95 D1 as well as the spark plugs (even though they looked OK) I don't think the plug wires are bad as the plugs all looked OK and I think the FPO replaced them before they sold the Disco.

I put in some Chevron Fuel injector cleaner last week and it made no difference. (i'm going to try once more

If a fuel injector was not working wouldn't the OBD pick it up? If not is there a way to test the injectors funcionality before I pull them all out and spend almost a grand to replace them?

I don't have a manual yet so I would also like to know how much pressure I should read at the fuel rail???

Where is the fuel pump relay so I can also check it for functionality (is there a test)

Again: any and all info is appreciated.

You can test them, but it is kind of a pain. Problems could be the fuel pressure regulator, or leaky injectors. To test them you get down to the fuel rail and pull it up with all the injectors in it. Then see if they leak. It is a real long job, but if you got a Saturday, do it! It is fun.

Also, try some 44k rather than the chevron stuff. 44k works like a charm but is about $20 a can.

I always chuckel when I see some saying they check the plug wires and they look OK. This is not the test, I don't know what sort of problem you are haveing but if you are open for some more feed back, tell what exactly is wrong, what the mileage is and what has been replaced so far.
By the way,I agree with Sam go for the B&G 44K, there is no better out there.

I know the whires are new as they where replaced when the disco was tuned up before it was sold. The coil was also replaced.

A faulty spark plug whire would cause the fuel in a cylinder with the faulty wire to burn differently and thereby look at least a little different. They all look perfect.

I'll track down some B&G 44 and give it a try.

Thanks

Eric
