Forgot to mention, that I still dont find it to be a serious issue. It felt great on the road. I have to bring it in for a couple small issues but I will mention it to them and see what the dealer says.

Well, I tried a few different tests and this is what I came up with:
1) I could not feel a pulse in the brake pedal (possible that maybe its a soft pulse unlike an abs kicking in)
2) I'm only hearing it durning acceleration from a stop. I was on the highway around 65mph and put the pedal down till I hit 95mph. No noise or vibe durning accel.

One problem I did find with the truck: Its very easy to speed in. This was the first trip over 50 miles of highway stretch and found myself over the speed limit more than a few times. Beautiful highway ride. And this baby is fast for an SUV on the highway.

Hi,

Same issue for me, I'm always over the limit on the highway.
It just rides so smooth and is exceptional quiet.

Hello Franky,

Thanks for the reply and your information. Since those two times, I have not felt any new noises or vibrations, maybe it was just the weather or something? I agree with you, it's VERY easy to speed in the LR4 as it can really fly on the highway! :)

Hello Rob,

I agree! I actually turned off the speeding notification as it annoyed me too much. Despite some of the quirks, I am really happy with the LR4... In many regards, it is really well above the competition in ride, quiet cabin, and POWER. I traded in my 2009 ML350 which was a bit underpowered!

Regarding my headlight bulbs, I actually just ordered the bulbs you recommended and they should arrive in the next day or two. I did a bit of research on how to change them and it looks pretty simple. One question I have is regarding factory seals.... will I need to break any type of factory seal? Also, did you use cotton gloves when handling the new headlight bulbs?

I will keep you posted... thanks so much!

Hello Finlayforprez,

There are no factory seals or anything that needs to be broken off or any other mod to change the bulbs, it's a direct bulb replacement. Hope that helps so you don't worry. :)

Kind regards,
Stephen

PS - Just take your time when replacing and you'll find it pretty easy. And use a towel to set the lights on when you remove them, so they don't scratch on the floor.

I dropped off my porsche to the dealer on Thur., they are a Land Rover dealer aswell. Since I was dropping off the car late, the advisor I delt with was a Land Rover guy. I spoke to him for some time about LR. He's been with LR for 19 years, good guy to talk too.

I spoke to him about what I was feeling and he smiled and said I know exactly what your talking about. I was shocked ! Anyway, he had a customer with a RR sport with the same issue. He said some of the LR4's and RR's are having this problem. There is a TSB out on this. It's a driveline vibration, and is being fixed by installing a damper on the transfer case.

I'm dropping off my LR4 Tues. night, and will be worked on Wed. As soon as they perform this TSB, I'll post the TSB # and my thoughts on the fix!

Hello Stephen,

Well, I did it yesterday... I changed the lightbulbs and it was extremely easy. Wow, what a difference!!! It is definitely the best ~$35.00 dollars I ever spent and really make a difference as far as crisp white brightness and distance vision. For anyone else who is a bit nervous about switching out the headlights, I am here to say it's really easy, just go slow and stick to the manual and this forum and you can do it in 15 minutes.

I am so happy with the new headlights - awesome!

Thanks everyone for your advice, especially Stephen (Count Laszlo)!

-David.

That's awesome to hear, David! It feels good doing these little projects and getting such great results. Philips really knocked it out of the park with these halogens. They're as good as HIDs IMO. You can also upgrade your fogs with the same H11 bulbs for really amazing results when you need them. I have to admit I use both headlights and fogs together most of the time, even when it's not foggy out. And that's mainly out of habit as you know we do get a lot of fog here in the city. Anyway, congrats on a job well done! :)
