I have a 2016 Landmark and I want to add a bit of contrast to some of the items that have been blacked out... I would like to have a body shop paint the mesh portion of the side vent Titan Silver. Are you able to take apart the side vents into multiple pieces to have the interior portion (mesh) painted? I would like to achieve the results in the image below but on my own OEM parts.

I removed the driver side vent this past weekend (looking at sunroof drainage issues); for those of you trying to go in via the engine compartment and down through the hinge opening pay attention to this photo:

It's certainly interesting to get it out, I ended up using a trim removal tool very carefully; they don't come out very easily!

I agree, from inside the top of the fender is best. Once one top tab is released, move on to the next. No grunting, no mess, nothing broken.
