Service indicator question

Does anyone know what the number in the top right corner of the service indicator stands for. I'm heading for regular service next week but yesterday the service indicator came on where the odometer is and showed a 17 in the top right corner. This morning it showed a 16. The truck then flashed a HDC fault for a second and then cleared. Anyone have any ideas????
I'd like to tell the service department about it so if anyone has experienced this let me know.

Going from memory here...

I think the top right number indicates number of days until next scheduled maintenance. It would have a time clock-looking icon next to it.

it can only be reset by someone with an IDS.

No manual reset despite what the book says.
