I know the LR3 key fob is waterproof, and was wondering if anyone knows how this hold up in saltwater. I would assume that it would be ok after a rinse after being in the saltwater but I just wanted to confirm with you guys here.

No problem in salt water. I know of surfers who keep it in a zipped pocket of their suit while out in the water. I don't remember how deep it is rated for though, in case you're into diving.

Yep, I surfed with it in my wetsuit all the time. Just be sure to rinse it with
fresh water afterwards.

fresh water rinsing is the key... get it... sweet pun i know...

but yeah to reiterate, ive surfed with my key hundreds of times... sand and dried salt comes out pretty easy with a good hosing.
