Thanks I am getting 4 codes that are preventing me from inspection. I have no warning lights. The dealer said I had to drive it to reset. Since then I have driven 1073 miles both city and highway and the codes are still there. Any suggestions? it is now new years eve and my inspection is 2 months overdue.

What are the codes? Inspection station is only going to care about emissions and maybe safety.

Do not clear the codes. What the inspection station is looking for is a distance of *** (250?) miles since the last time codes were cleared. The assumption the inspection station makes from that is if you've managed to drive 250 miles without an emissions fault, then your emissions system is working properly. You may have been able to get a passing inspection several hundred miles ago.

Look into how NYS does inspections. In MA they will just give you a rejection sticker, tell you why you failed and you have 60 days to remedy it. If you go back to the station with your initial rejection paperwork within that timeframe you do not pay for the second inspection.

If you have a hard fault, which triggers the DTCs. The faults have to be corrected before the vehicle will pass the inspection.

I have driven over 1600 with no reset on these same codes (fue / evap / o2s / cat). it is now at the dealer and they are not being able to figure it out either. They said they did a hard reset and that did not work. I am very frustrated and everyone involved is baffled. Any suggestions? Could it be a bad ground or bad circuit? Any ideas?

Baffled? What are the actual DTCs being thrown please? (The dealer should provide this) Also, how many miles on your vehicle? And what power type modifications/maintenance/changes have you done?
For example, are you using the paper based air filter or a foam/oil filter? Did you change the MAFs to aftermarket substitutions? The O2 sensors??
Do you use the specified fuel?
