I’ve got a leak from the radiator on my 2012 LR4, has 135K on it.

I did the water pump, both crossover tubes, tstat and rad hoses about 30k ago. What else should I replace while I’m in there?

Also, what is a good aftermarket brand of radiator to pick up?

Temperature sensors. Uro makes an aluminum replacement for the connector between the oil cooler and the water pump.

I just got a nissens, but I don't have a motor, so I can't vouch for it. I put a nissens in my 240 Volvo wagon a couple years ago, been fine.

Belts? Gates is the best. I had a leak in my rad at 97k mi and everyone said to get the Land Rover brand radiator since aftermarket versions are inferior. If you buy Land Rover brand coolant then you can in the future use blue light to look for leaks like a detective searching for blood on forensic files.

Do you have a link to this connector? Is it something that fails often?

I did the belts when I did the coolant crossovers, forgot to mention those. Guess it might end up being an OEM radiator…

Nissens is the oem radiator and I would stick to that. Be patient when removing and installing. It takes a while to shimmy it out and into place.

I have a thread on the radiator replacement. Used a Nissens. Installed 2 years ago and 25,000 miles ago and it’s been great. No issues. But it is a huge pain to get the old one out without disconnecting the condenser.
