Hey All! It's been a hot minute, and I've been making progress, it's just been slow.

Hand sanding the block is taking forever, especially since I can only get to NJ roughly every other weekend. That said, the left bank was way out of whack all over, and I'm just now getting it back into spec. Thus far, I've got it to less than .0015" across all the cylinders and front to back. The edges of the block are still just a little low, but I'm not too worried about them and they're really not the pressure surfaces. I've switched from sanding to lapping a few times as using the bare lapping plate really helps me to dial in high and low spots. I think I'm fighting a little bit of my own mistakes as I used the giant piece of flat stock to sand the left bank initially, and it's not perfectly flat. Even though I moved it around a lot, I think the overall trends worked their way into the block.

Hopefully, the next time I'm in NJ, I should be finished sanding. I was able to retrieve my LR cams and only needed to order 3 cam followers to get the valve lash into spec.

So, with a little luck, I'll be cranking this thing over...again...to see how the compression looks soon.
