p1179 on a 96 disco

I have done a lot of research on this code. I have pulled the MAFS and cleaned it w/ CRC electronic cleaner. Now I'm waiting to see if the code will clear itself.

My question is, is it safe to drive the truck with this code since I am not getting any others?

I am not having any performance issues and the fuel mileage around town has been between 12.5 and 13 mpg. CEL came on yesterday. Had it read at Autxzxne. They did not clear it just told my wife what it was.

little update.

i did not reset the CEL. called my wife today and she said it was no longer on. so, it looks like the CRC cleaning of the MAFS worked. for a while at least. i'll let you all know if the code comes back.
