Well I’ve been wanting a fun 4x4 suv for a while now and have looked at Broncos, blazers, etc and have never really found one I love. Blame it being a creature of comfort but not having newer options on them and riding like log wagons just wasn’t as fun as I’d hoped. Well my wife saw me eye balling this 05 LR3 and decided today to tell me we are getting it for an early Father’s Day late birthday present. It needs a few smaller things, nothing crazy but I love this thing already. Has several options I would have installed already on it so that was a huge plus. It does have 150,000 miles but has a lot of dealer service records and runs like a top. I plan on taking it to a paintless dent removal shop soon and getting a price to try and fix those on the back passenger door. I’m going to have the arb bumper powder coated as it has some minor scuffs. The worst thing is the terrible squeak in the back that I THINK I’ve found the source of. Seems like lower control arm bushing when I rock it and my father in law listened to it. Over all for a 14 year old truck this is going to make a GREAT family cruiser i think. It’s not a every day driver at all but I love it. There is something i noticed today on the transmission. It seems at like 25-30mph it revs up down up down up down like it can’t decide if it wants to shift or not? Runs perfect, cruises at 75 like a boat and is a blast but the small kinks (hopefully) I’ll be fixing myself! Anyways, I can’t wait to learn about these animals. Here’s a few pics.
