My New Snow Shoes

A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a set of brand spankin' new 19" RRS wheels with scorpion snow and ice tires with TPMS on eBay. The seller bought them for his wife's 08' LR3 for Winter, but she unfortunately traded in her LR3 for a BMW X5 without having the opportunity to try the snow tires on. Seeing that it was a GREAT deal (less than $1,400 for the entire set!), I immediately grabbed them. Well, they came today and I got busy putting them on. I have to say, that after driving with them around the snowy roads of the White Moutains, they are sure grippy and quiet at high speeds.

What a difference high performance snow and Ice tires make on that lil monster.

Nice catch. I let go of an opportunity of a full set of wheels with summer tires for about $450. DId not take them because I was unsure I was going tobuy the LR3 at the time. THinking back, I could have made some nice change out of the deal and they look gorgeous on your car. ANy problem with fitments or are they spot on in terms of clearance, spacing, etc.

Thanks guys! The wheels fit perfectly on my LR3. In fact, I didn't even have to buy lug nuts as I used the ones I had on there already. And they do look like snow flakes! LOL. Perfect for the holidays!

Too bad that the seller didn't realize that LR3 and X5 share the same bolt pattern

I made the same mistake. Sold an Audi TT w/winter wheels thinking there was no chance they would fit the wife's new scion. :-(
