The LR4 is not only more practical with it's third row our LUX feels more than luxurious enough. The RR has less space IMO is less functional and the extras you get don't seem to justify the price difference.

Gfcronus,

I bought my 2010 LR4 for a lot of different reasons. The fundamental reason behind my decision was that the LR4 is an off-road machine with a lot of class. Thus, capability is number one, styling/brand is number two.

I feel the range rover, while very popular where I currently live, is not nearly as capable as the LR4’s. The defenders are awesome vehicles as well…but much harder to deal with in the States. The LR4 is really the perfect marriage between off-road capability and luxury/ease of driving. Therefore, I echo brokenneckcp’s comments.

Now…I have plenty of criticisms out there too; but thus far my wife and I love to drive the truck and are happy with it.

Cheers,
Land Rover Joe

Obiously the RR is an awesome vehicle. But then so is the LR4 IMO. Other than looking at the RR in the dealer showroom I don't have too much experience/knowledge of them. I did get a ride in a RR Sport LUX from the dealer when I had to drop my other car off at my house when I took delivery of my LR4. I was really impressed with it. The only drawback I see is space. It is definitely smaller on the insdie. But the ride and the aestheitcs of the cabin seemed very luxurious. I could definitely see myself in a RR Sport. I think the RR is just too cost prohibitive for me.

Resurrecting the old thread, now that a 2010 LR4 HSE and 2010 RR HSE are about the same price ($32k), it makes choosing over the other all the more difficult. I know the RR's depreciate a lot, but still find the steep drop relative to LR4 quite shocking.

For me the choice will depend on practicality (LR4) vs. prestige (RR). I am still deciding. :stupido2:
