LR4 New Light Bar Installed

I went with a single row 37" straight light bar. Mounted it under my Voyager low profile rack and fairing. These low profile bars are nice and discrete. You can hardly tell it is there when it is off and in the daylight.


I have the same rack and was looking at pictures to get some ideas and I came across this post. I know this is an old post, but I like how you mounted that on the roof rack, and was wondering the route you chose to run the wiring?

Update: I ended up doing this exact modification early last year and have been extremely happy with it. I had it wired to my high beam circuit. My main requirement was to be able to blast the maximum amount of light onto a dark road and it does exactly that. You can see pairs of deer eyes way in the distance, it's so bright. This makes my night drives in WV that much safer. I highly recommend doing this, it was one of the best mods i've done do this truck so far.

How is the projection? These light bars tend to have very shallow lens which can make a ton of light up close but they have trouble throwing it at distance. Technology is getting better all the time though.

sorry to try to revive this old thread, but I'm looking to add a light bar for your same reason. I live in Montana and high beams just don't cut it! lol. Where did you mount the bar? I see you wired it to the high beams, do you have a separate switch to turn it off when you don't want to use it? I've come too close to hitting deer (and recently a moose) and need something brighter.
