Hi All! I have recently developed what I think is a transmission leak. I have been getting red fluid under the truck. The weird thing is that it's intermittent. Some days, I'll park it, and the next morning there is no leakage whatsoever. And other days there is a 12-18" diameter puddle. I am also getting a burning smell, as the atf is leaking onto the cats. The puddle is Always situated under the front bumper, but it looks like it is running along the frame and skid plate. Please help!

...you sure it's not coolant? Is it viscous like ATF?

Try dabbing the puddle with a napkin and post pics. Is it always parked in the same place or does it leak more when on a hill?

Is the puddle off to the driver's side up front? Could be power steering fluid.

My trans leak was dead center under middle of vehicle (directly below the trans).
I don't see how a leak from trans would follow anything up to front bumper.
