Good luck to you on that. Sliders are sort of the last piece I feel like I need.

My point was only that putting on different colored marker light lenses does not constitute a "mod."

Maybe BazLR3 has unwittingly touched on a definition. A mod adds functionality that was not otherwise there before. Examples are skid plates, sliders, lifts, lockers, winch-bumpers, etc.

Accessories change style. Lights, rims, sidesteps, stereo, seat covers, etc.

Maybe I'm just bein' a ****.

Hmmm... not sure I quite agree with the definition. I threw some new headrests with DVD/LCDs for the kids in - definitely functionality that wasn't there before, but I'd call it more accessorizing then modifying....

Likewise, is a rack a mod or an accessory? Adds functionality....

BTW - not trying to be a **** either!

Also thinking RS sliders. But...the prices for sliders on this rig are absurd. :stupid:

But much cheaper then the price of the repair, trust me when I say they have paid for themselves many times.

They are the only ones I would consider. since they protect the air compressor.
I would hate to slide off a rock and tear that up. Talk about STUCK. I do not have them yet, just saving my pennies and being carefull on the trail.

Its funny how that feeling changes after one particular rock teaches you different. :)

Nathan...this excerpt is written in a strange tone or context. I don't mean that sliders are the "last thing I need." I mean that sliders are the last piece of my LR3-mod-puzzle that I need to complete. They are next on my list!

If I were doing it from scratch it'd be tires then sliders. I wish I'd sold my running boards instead of re-enforcing them and used the money to offset the cost of RS Sliders!
