I fixed the rattle on mine by adding a few heavy duty stainless steel washers to hold the plate off the frame 1/8" or so. Worked great.

I did that as well but was noticing to much stress on some of the bolt locations. So I went ahead a ground off the part on the exaust that was rattling.

I guess I got lucky, I didn't have any exhaust too close to the plate and I got no rattle at all.

Good deal, some don't get it. Mine didn't show up right, away only after it was on for a bit and probably after I dented it a bit more.
