2011 HSE and just hit 99,100 and just replaced lower control arms at 95k-ish..

Geez, seeing these numbers I feel like keeping my 15 LR4 LUX with HD forever and buying a 3rd car instead of a Defender may be the way to go. I still love the look of this thing...

Having in general hated and not owned American cars in over 10 years, I'm thinking about a Corvette C8 in a year or two. Been wanting something I can take the roof off of and instead of something Italian like a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth, maybe the C8 is worth $60k give or take. Would cost less than a new Defender and I can still continue to modify the LR4 and have something fun for the summer and twisty bits.

My 2010 hit 100k last month.

Biggest cost so far has been the transmission rebuilt back in April. The obligatory control arms, wheel bearings, and water pump have been done.
Keeping a close eye on the timing chain.
Also need to trace down an air leak in the suspension (front end drops overnight).

I had the same thing when I hit 100k miles with the air suspension. I had a left front shock leaking and I decided to just replace both. I recommend doing it as soon as possible so you don’t wear your compressor more then it needs to be but I have no regrets I had it done for about $1000

I have a 2010 HSE LUX with 106,000k. The truck has been very reliable for a Land Rover. Work has been: new crossover pipe, water pump, rebuilt transmission, new air suspension compressor, new front air struts, and control arm bushings. This car was a family car since I’ve been 10 and used as a daily driver and from time to time taken on fun off road trips with me and my dad and tacked from 2 ft snow powder to rock crawling up a 30° slope. The car avg about 16k per year for 7 years until my dad bought the new Discovery 5 and the car was passed down to me. Now that I’ve gathered up a bit of money I plan to get new 18’rims and 33inch tires, sliders, and the 2.5inch Lift rods and let this car show its true colors. This cars life is not nearly over and won’t be as long as I don’t go broke.
