Has anyone's "transmission ****" returned?

Yup, the answer I got on further questions was that they did reset my adaptive learning for me, but it was also confirmed that I have the most recent download. So, I don't know where that leaves me...

My guess is that the most recent download does not include the "patch 7" fix I got 2.5 years ago (they basically over-wrote the prior beta release with something else). So I'm SOL and my SA is not willing to search for a TSB since he is told to just make sure we have the latest software, which we have. He's a nice guy and since I'm out of factory warranty (on extended) I feel I can only push it so much. Software downloads aren't included in the LR warranty anyway.

I guess if it comes back, I'll just drive around and click my heels together until it goes away... LOL

To update this thread, my dealer ended up resetting my transmissions adaptive learning and the issue when away. So, it sounds like if you reset it on your own (manual shift for two trips) you can do this as well.

I'll be curious to see if it stays away (this was a fluke) or it comes right back (it is in the software) as I had not had this issue for a couple years.

There is still a slight lag (1/2 second or less) which is okay. The cheap Kia (or Hyundai?) Sonata SUV that they gave me as a loaner had immediate throttle response. I pressed the gas. The truck immediately responded. Isn't that how it is suppose to be? ***...buy a $50K car with fancy computers, lose basic functionality because the truck is so "smart"....

I posted a troubleshooting doc for the 6-sp ZF transmission a while back on a RRS forum, but the tranny being the same, it would apply to LR3 as well. Probably won't help with this **** as the doc suggests reflashing the software with diagnostics... But there are a few helpful suggestions contained in that document for other odd behaviors of the transmission: http://rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=30397&start=2
