As for your warranty running out, I'd be more worried about a lot of other things. Why did you let it run out? Going to play the odds on it?

So you bought an extended warranty that was 4 yr/ ? miles ?? $1600 is really cheap, did you buy it early on? Must have as the price jumps way up as the miles pile on.

Wait a minute, you can't buy 4 "extra" years that I have ever heard of by any manufacturer. It's always a max of 7/x miles meaning 7 total yrs or 3 added onto an initial 4 yr.

Please tell us for sure, an 8 yr warranty? What dealer name?

picked it up from Rover dealer in Ventura, CA with 6K miles on it. Purchased extended to 8yr/100K

I have a warrenty through a 3rd party when I bought the LR3, just the normal LR warrenty went in Apr 09. My 3rd party wouldn't cover the emblems just the suspension/engine and what not

Wow, that's awesome if you don't put a lot of miles on each year. Good for you for making that happen!

For those of us who drive a lot, like 30,000 miles a year or so, the years aren't so useful.
