Okay I saw the pics and now I'm concerned that the Dealer screwed me. Is it possible that the new cap was put on but that it is still oriented vertically?

My cap looks clean and new, but it still sits straight up.

It's a completely different style. They might have changed the entire tube, that I don't believe comes with the new style cap. I edited my last post with the bulletin number, may have better luck searching for that.

So if the part itself comes off at an angle, I think I have an issue with my LR Service Dept.

Does your cap sit inside the tube, or does the tube go inside it?

Do you have the invoice with the P/N the installed?

Hard to tell...I didn't dig in too much. I am sure I have the invoice and all that; I'd have to go dig into my files. I sent them the TSB though.

Thank you, forum!

Took the LR3 into the dealer and said "uhhhh......" and showed them all the stuff. They happened to have the revised breather in-stock and changed it out. Done and done.

Back to the lights issues.... Brake light switch perhaps... it's quite a common problem...

Front Differential Breather Cap new install.

Ok I'll bite...if that is the old diff breather cap, what does the new one look like? How is it different and how can one tell?

Below is a link to the new front differential breather files with pictures.

I took the jpg's when I replaced mine. One fix you do not have to bend backwards to do - you get to stand up.

I also figure it was a worthwhile exercise as the removed one did not seem to "breath" when I blew thru it after I had removed it.
