Running an LR3 with a 2 inch lift, what tire size have people run with a similar setup? Would 275/70/18's cause too much trouble?

If I recall correctly, the lift doesn't affect fit - this has been discussed many times on this forum and in other forums.Running an LR3 with a 2 inch lift, what tire size have people run with a similar setup? Would 275/70/18's cause too much trouble?

At 275/70R18, you'd be talking about a 33.2" tire which would not fit under the truck without serious modifications (frame horns, wheel wells, etc.). If you haven't read it already, check out:

That is the size I run.
Serious mods required and recommended.
Horns, heater lines, shark fins, EAS harness and probably some others I'm not remembering.
Honestly, not sure you could do it with the factory front bumper. Maybe, but i have some doubt.
These sites helped me narrow down the right pressure for my 265/70-18s

47 front and 52 rear is the best for my daily commute.
I hope they help!
What modifications, if any, did you need to make to have the 265/70-18s fit without rubbing?
So just FYI in case anyone else is planning to really off road their rig
Wheels get mangled in real terrain. No real way around it. It's a badge of honor.
Nice work, Troy! I have Compos + KO2s 265/65/18 now (also have a set of 265/60 Coopers) and confirm your findings. I have not removed the heat shield but I have preventively deflated the spare. And it was still a bit of work to get it there, so I assume an inflated one would be near-impossible to get in - and possibly to get out!I'm making some revisions to my post and updating / simplifying the embedded spreadsheet as I'm sure more people can make use of this. If any of y'all would not mind helping can we all pretty much agree on the highlighted cells here, namely that 30.5" ext dia. tires and smaller fit without rubbing AND fit under the truck, that 31-31.6" dia tires MAY have some rubbing and MAY have some tightness under the truck, and that once you cross over into the 32.1 and higher, you will definitely have rubbing and also will not be able to fit the spare under the truck? I know this has been beaten to death but I can only read 90 pages of forum posts so many times.Hoping to make this a permanent useful post for people.

I can't but recommend Troy's article to everyone. As said elsewhere, I've run the Compos + Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 265/60/18 tyres over more than 30.000 km of difficult Central Asian terrain (and including asphalt so horribly potted it put any mountain track to shame) with the car very heavily loaded and have experienced no issues.I'm making some revisions to my post and updating / simplifying the embedded spreadsheet as I'm sure more people can make use of this.
