Cylinder 8 Misfire

Hi folks,

I did see the other thread with same title, but no recent work done that would have delivered same solution.

Overview: driving 30mph, after depressing accelerator engine shuddered. Flashing CEL, Restricted Performance warning. While driving flashing CEL persists, when come to a stop, the CEL will go steady.

Codes:
PCM-Engine Petrol

P0308-00 (AF) Cylinder 8 misfire detected

P0316-00 (AF) Misfire detected on start-up (first 1000 revolutions)

As isn’t related to either or both banks, leads me to believe something specific to cylinder 8- anyone have similar codes and a path forward?

Planning on bringing to indy shop Monday, but hoping to possibly identify and fix without losing my shirt next week.

Spark plug, coil, fuel injector would all be cylinder specific failures. Any could give these codes and symptoms described.

Plugs done recently (<20k mi), but will check coil before diving into the injectors replacement. Appreciate response! Seems manageable (famous last words).

Haven’t checked all injector and coil connectors but seems a few have a bit of wire exposed near the connectors- will this cause issues down the road? Was thinking just some liquid electrical tape as seems suitable for automotive.

Culprit for me ending up being the coil. Decided to replace all the injectors anyway as at 137k. All is peachy.
