Just returned from trip #2 to the desert. Saw some sweet contractor vehicles there and of course plenty of Army combat vehicles. Thought I would share a couple of pics.

I wonder where they take that BFBS rover when it gets a Transmission Fault and won't go above 35mph? :)

If I'm not mistaken, that white LR3 looks like a springer to me. Notice the clear rear quarter windows....a lot like mine.

Combat rovers at Camp Beuhring, Kuwait.

Nice pics from Camp Beuhring Kuwait, when I was through there 2 years ago the Brits were coming out of Basra and the camp was flooded with 2 door D90's that had an interesting camo paint. Hard to believe that they had hardly an armor! The competitor to the new american MRAP uparmor was the British MASTIFF, a truly goliath of a truck, funny I heard that the Mastiff was actually a us frame that was modified.

The Brits pretty much pulled out of Kuwait/Iraq altogether. They left the D90's floating around all over the place. They werent allowed to leave the base in them so they basically became FOB transport. Got to spend some time in one of them for a good morning. LR's are big in Dubai and Arab Emrites so they find their way in contractors hands. The Range Control Cruiser and Disco3 were from Kuwait, the other two were in Baghdad. Im trying to dig up some of the fleet D2's from my FOB, they were pretty banged up.
