Depends on your budget, last time I looked a new denso was over $500. I'd probably check the life on the brushes. If they look good still I'd hit it with compressed air and some electronics cleaner.

Even better is $217 on Parts Geek, but they seem to have two with prices differences which has me confused!

I finally got back to the broken solenoid nut:

I installed a 8mm socket on to the nut and was able to use the leading edge of the socket as a pivot point to use a screwdriver to leverage the small locking tabs away from the edges of the nut; with the tabs out the way I used a pair of pliers to hold the threaded portion of the fixture and with the help of some PB Blaster was able to remove the nut; here's the end result:

I can work with this. The new starter arrived, photos to follow. I have no idea if it's a remanufactured unit or it's new (see thread above)? It looks new and states it was made in Japan... We'll see once the timing chains are done.
