I have read all of the posts regarding block heaters for my 2015 LR4 but have yet to figure out which block heater will work on the car. I have heard that Temro made the original heaters but I contacted them and they said they only made it for a 2.0L Land Rover. I believe Kat's makes one as well but don't know the model number.

If anyone has installed an aftermarket block heater on their LR4, I'd love to get the specific info on what will work. I really don't want to remove the plug before I have the right parts in hand.

Many Thanks!

I like the out of the box thinking...
The Ford 3.0l ecoboost engine has a number of block heater choices by a number of suppliers...

I have not installed a heater in many years (decades!) now.

But, if I did need one on the LR4 I would most likely opt for a simple blanket.
Even if you could rig an oil dipstick heater to keep out the dirt, probably not enough heat there, and when I installed a heater in the lower radiator hose, lo those many years ago, it was too hot and I did not like how it left the hose.

Might be better choices now than then...

This is my D first winter in Montreal at university.
No real cold - yet.

The 2016 is parked 3 floors underground, not sure how cold it will get lounging around down there, but probably not very...

We had no issues with cold in 3 winters in Rochester, NY in an outdoor parking garage.

I run the H8 battery and the good washer fluid.

Even if there are no issues starting in cold weather, it's REALLY nice getting heat almost immediately after a cold start. I'd like to add the block heater to our LR4 but based on other threads I've seen, the installation process ain't fun.

:hmmmm:
