At this point, I think they only way I get rid of my LR4 is if the new Defender knocks my socks off or if I find a G500 I can't pass up.

I've only owned mine since late November 2018, but I feel the same way. Love this thing. It does so many things very well, and I haven't even started upgrading anything. Great truck.

since day 1 the car cost the owner $37k in service costs and an additional $6k that was covered under the warranty

Oof... How does that add up? Must have been expensive to have the water pump done, evap work and the caliper replaced? Still sounds high considering the work they said was done...

Well, 300k miles of oil changes can be as much as $15k if done at the dealer every 6k miles at $300 a pop.

“Wow so I don’t see the timing chains/tensioners ever done in the history. I almost don’t believe it haha. They’ve gone through tons of brakes, tires, Oil changes, a few water pumps, a caliper here and there and then some evap repairs. They’ve been servicing the truck here since day one so we have all the history documented. I don’t see timing chains though... unreal”


Yeah the story on the tensioners is more complex than "they all fail"
