I agree! I don't care for black too much on any Land Rover vehicle. My least favorite color is silver, but that's just because I had a silver car for a number of years and I got sick of it quickly. Though, I do really like that dark grey (Orkney Grey is it?).

I know what you mean about the 2014 RRS nickle and diming for options - man, when I play around and build one it seems like there are so many options you have to add in - which are standard on the 2013 RRS. I don't like that at all.

If I end up ordering an LR4, it would be the Orkney Grey (sp?) with the Arabica extended leather.

For the outgoing RRS HSE Lux, off the lot, I'm pretty open to most of the colors. I actually like it in the Siberian Silver which is more like a blue-silver, much like my Izmir Blue LR4.

There are a ton of Fuji White RRS Lux's out there too... and I have a feeling, in the next couple of months when I get ready to pull the trigger, I'll end up with White. But we'll see.

I can't wait to figure out what I decide as well. But it's looking like it'll be the outgoing RRS HSE Lux.

I would love to find a Nara Bronze RRS HSE Lux, but only found a non-lux. But I do love this color on the RRS. I saw one booking down the highway a few weeks ago and it looked so good... even my wife had a hard time keeping her eyes off it. That was my first color choice for the LR4 as well... but when I saw the Izmir Blue and was able to work on that deal, I was good with it. It's a nice color, rare and I get a lot of complements.

I got the RRS bug. :bandit:

David, mister bad influence :) check out Land Rover of Newport Beach.

They have 116 RRS's in stock. They have a Fuji White with Arabica/Nutmeg interior. Two of them in fact... both HSE Lux's.

And many other combinations. I wonder if SJ can transfer from that far away?

Also, if I get the outgoing RRS, HSE Lux, I'm going to get the light guards first. Both front and rear. Saw a few cool racks... we'll see. But lots of off-roading gear available.

Hey Count,

I am finally getting a chance to look at the forum. I really like the Orkney Grey with the Arabica extended leather - very nice color scheme. I have to agree with you, the Nara Bronze on the RRS is quite nice! I do love the color on my LR4 and will miss it, but I just can't resist how awesome the LR4 looks in Fuji White. The contrasts between white and black (especially with the black design package) is just stunning.

I am very excited for you to pull the trigger - after you decide of course!

Wow - they have a LOT of 2013 RRS - damn! I am sure they will need to discount considerably to get rid of their stock. I would definitely talk to Eric at Land Rover of SJ and see if they can do a switch - it may be possible. Also, I wonder if it is too late to order a 2013? Though, not sure you would get as good of a deal on the truck.

There are lots of cool accessories. A guy in my Land Rover club has the headlight / tail light guards and a rack - looks sweet. He has a 2011 RRS Supercharged in black. It's pretty sweet, but always looks dirty.

Now I want a RRS! :)

The 2014 RRS is only slightly longer than the outgoing model (+2.5"), although the wheelbase has been stretched big time, 7 extra inches, which should make for a smoother ride and increased room inside, for rear passengers especially. In the old Sport, rear passengers suffered if someone like me was sitting in front, plus access was somewhat tight due to the shortish rear doors. Neither should be problems anymore (plus, the rear seats can now be reclined, something I wish was available on the LR4 today, and can be ordered with heating AND cooling.)

The new car will still be about 6" shorter and 2" lower than the new Range Rover, but it's hardly small. The designers did a good job making it look smaller than it really is.

Thanks for the clarification. I can see what you mean, as it definitely looks very roomy - but it's deceiving from the outside.

Yeah, the new RRS is pretty big. It's pretty much a RR "sported" and "shorted" and I guess this explains the very high price. I'm going to likely get the outgoing RRS and trade it up in three-years and get this beast. The RR is nice... but a little too rich looking now. What I like about the outgoing RR, is that it could be driven by a contractor w/boots, or banker... or even a surfer in flip-flops, and respected in all ways. Whereas the new RR, is very banker, suit-like, and honestly, a contractor would look out of place driving one of this onto a construction zone.
