The Arabica is by far the best color. I would love to find an outgoing RRS with Arabica. Impossible unless I order. It's amazing, when you build the outgoing RRS HSE, just about everything is included in the price.

LR is now nickle-and-diming for everything. I mean, geez, even for the new RRS SE, they charge for front fog lights... push you into a very expensive package. I don't like the new pricing structure at all.

The outgoing RRS is packed with goodies... and everything I want, and would never regret, is $68K. Yes, decisions, decisions.

I think getting the outgoing RRS and keeping it for three-years is the best way to go. It'll give me the more stable highway ride and plenty of off-road grunt.

Yeah, I lose the 3rd row, which is fine by me, I've used them all of twice since I've owned my LR4.

As for the jeans, you're lucky you and your wife do not wear them. I think you mentioned your wife only wear dresses - you're a lucky man!

My wife on the other hand is a pain in the rear... but I love her dearly. Although we do get jean dye on the leather it cleans right off. But white stitching would be an issue.

If I get the outgoing RRS she'll have to put down a pad in the back and I'll do the same upfront. When I wear jeans I actually lift myself up and sit down on the seat so I don't rub dye on the leather... but my wife lazily slides her rear-end over the seats like she's spreading butter on toast.

It annoys me to no end but what are you going to do. I'm always cleaning my wife's seats too... and she has ash color interior. It's beautiful, but requires me to keep an eye on it.

So, yes... I could order the LR4 with all the goodies for $60K or grab one of these loaded HSE RRS for $68K. Although I love, love my LR4, I'd love to try something different and need some of the driving dynamics. And I think the RRS would fit perfectly. I could still go camping, off-road (meet up with you one of these days haha) and also go on long road trips and feel a bit more stable.

I guess the outgoing RRS is still in production until the end of the summer?
Hey Count,

I was just taking a look at the 2013 RRS on the Land Rover website and man I LOVE the HSE Lux, Aintree Green, with Oxford Tan interior (it's that orange color I was talking about). Wow - that's a great looking car with basically all the options for around $67K.

If I were you, I'd order one ASAP :) I am tempted!!!!!!!!!!

My wife says you're a bad influence and she doesn't even know you. haha...

That color is stunning. I've seen it only a few times in person. I did see a Aintree Green one with the Oxford in this area a few weeks ago and yes, it was stunning. That color also looks amazing when the sun hits it. A very, very classy color.

Check this one out. Only it had either the turbine or even the iron-cross rims. But these rims... are awful!

Have you seen the RRS in Nara Bronze? It's amazing. Redwood has one, but it's a non-Lux.

If I'm doing this, it has to be the Lux with "Silver Package".

BTW, the iron-cross rims look great on the lighter color RRS and the turbines look best with darker colors. I'd do the iron-cross with Fuji White... and it looks great in person.

The RRS looks good in almost any color though. I don't like it in black though. Makes the sport look pudgy.

I am always a bad influence on everyone! :) Haha!

The red looks great, but I hate those rims. I love the RRS in Nara Bronze. I do love my Nara Bronze LR4 - it's such a cool color, but I wanted a change. I see a brand new Nara Bronze RRS in my neighborhood and it looks really sharp - but my favorite is still the Aintree Green with the orange-ish (Oxford Tan) interior - so unique. I think the RRS looks a LOT better in Aintree Green than the LR4. For some reason I just don't care for it as much in the LR4 - I still like it, but just not as much as on the RR or RRS.

I can't wait to see what you decide.

I agree! I don't care for black too much on any Land Rover vehicle. My least favorite color is silver, but that's just because I had a silver car for a number of years and I got sick of it quickly. Though, I do really like that dark grey (Orkney Grey is it?).

I know what you mean about the 2014 RRS nickle and diming for options - man, when I play around and build one it seems like there are so many options you have to add in - which are standard on the 2013 RRS. I don't like that at all.

I was surprised that they even offer the LR4 in black. It makes it look like a van.

Great, mine's black. Now I'm going to have to buy a "If the LR4's a-rockin', don't come a-knockin'" bumper sticker.

Ha ha... not trying to offend.

I have always had white vehicles.. and I wanted to get a black one, but when I started thinking seriously about the LR4 I knew I wanted that contrast on the rear windows... and the fuji is so bright and almost a blueish white. Had to have it.

Black cleans up SOOO nicely. I really like a properly detailed black vehicle.

The other thing I noticed was that the fuji white was the only solid paint color. I want to keep the lr4 long term, so I figured solid paint would be easier to fix later after I scratch it all up off road or rock chips, etc. Must be cheaper to fix than metallic flake paint.

The only LR I like in Black is the outgoing RR. I don't think it's Santorni Black (sp?) but a true, black/black? I like it because it's so stately. Very 007 too. Actually, if you guys have seen Sky Fall, it's loaded with Land Rovers... and Jags.
