As mentioned, how many miles on them, what brand of pad are you using, how much pad is left .
You may need new pads, if so look at Atlantic British for their brake sets and prices.
Make sure to use lots of sound deadening spray and do a full 3 pint DOT 4 brake flush.
I recently tried to replace the back pads but got stalled when I couldn't get the top screw loose that holds the calipers on. Any ideas on how to get it free? mine's a 98 model.. The bottom screw came loose but the top one didn't. I may just send it to the shop and let them deal with it. I have the rotors too, and it seemed as though I may not have been able to loosen the set screw on the rotor either. They could probably get that done at the garage where they can put it on the lift, anyway, I had problems getting good leverage with it up on the jack on the floor.
