    2005 LR3 suspension issue

Was your out-going compressor a Hitachi as well? Or an AMK?

Aux radio button kaput—stuck on SAT

Yeah no dice. It said "CD ERROR - PRESS EJECT" which I did and got the same result. I have a feeling that something other than a CD got jammed in there. I'm not the original owner of this one, so I am not sure.

Aux radio button kaput—stuck on SAT

Thank you, Sir! I'll give that a shot.

Aux radio button kaput—stuck on SAT

I've got something (from PO on my '06) suck in the CD player and don't know if it's possible to unjam it. Any ideas?

    Can you add a supercharger to a LR3 V8?

You could - with enough money thrown at it - but that doesn't mean you should. That 4.4L is arguably the best engine ever put in a Land Rover; it would be folly to supercharge it. You don't need extra HP on a trail, anyway...

    LR3 Transmission Leak

...you sure it's not coolant? Is it viscous like ATF?

    New Owner of 2006 LR3

I'm not sure which info you think is missing from the dash, but a hard reset never hurts. Keep in mind that you can toggle the info shown on the dash display using the stalk with the turn signals on it. There is a button on the end that you push inward to toggle that info. I don't have XM on...

    High Output Alternator for LR3

I tried fitting an Optima back in 2009 to no avail. The terminals were backwards and when I got the other style with reversed terminals, the cover could not be fit back on. I really don't remember the details, but it just got to the point where the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. I run an EFB on...

Can low voltage cause trans over heat message?

    That's a total bummer....sorry man!

Can low voltage cause trans over heat message?

I can't say for sure, but I can say that many spurious faults can be triggered - especially upon startup - if the battery is weak. If you don't have a GAP tool, you should get one. That way you can read the code and see exactly what is going on. You can even check the transmission fluid...

    High cambus?

The canbus is an entire system and many modules are dependent on it. I don't think that's the move....

    High cambus?

    Start by checking the battery.

    Helppppppp

Do you have a GAP tool?

Help to buy LR3 or RR Sport

Thanks for clarifying....based on your statement I thought "...the V8" you were referencing was the V8 in the LR3.

Help to buy LR3 or RR Sport

RRS...not a fan of the V6 and the "base" model I think means no air suspension. Alldazed is incorrect about timing chains being an issue in the V8. He/she is thinking of the 5L V8 in the LR4 perhaps. The 4.4L in the LR3 is bulletproof. The V6, not so sure.....

ABS Kicks on when turning left under braking

How bad must the wheel bearing be to cause this? I had a bad rear left bearing that sounded like a Cessna 172 above 30mph and it still didn't cause ABS issues.
  17. Houm_WA

    Nevermind...

This is an LR3 forum; you will probably get better feedback from the Range Rover section. Our fuel doors don't lock. The LR3 also has a manual keyhole "just in case."

    2005 LR3 oddities

Only time that has happened to me, well.....a few times on two different LR3s, is when I foolishly plugged the IIDTool in while the engine was running AND the battery was weak.

Start with ensuring you have a strong battery.

    2005 LR3 oddities

Can't hurt....and if your old one isn't bad (no signs of scoring or burn marks from electrical arcing, no broken contacts) then keep it as a spare.

    2005 LR3 oddities

The brake switch is behind the physical brake pedal (stalk) and if it fails you'll see the BRAKE indication on, and you'll get a combo of HDC fault + Suspension fault and get dropped down to Access Height. Cycling the ignition usually makes it go away, but only temporarily. It's a very common...

Ahhhh so this is an answer to NOIR's question, not mine. Got it.

    software update

So, you're saying that for older vehicles such as the LR3, disconnecting the battery for 20+ minutes....is a death sentence?
