Custom rear spare/jerry can carrier concept

Have you seen this one from Rasta? The shorter swing arm would make it possible to open when parallel parked etc. Not sure but they may not be available in the US now. Last I checked it was $960 + shipping.

    LR3 in the Sand

You couldn't pick two more comparable vehicles. Size, tires, turning radius, etc. I dont know the exact specs, but I think approach and depart angles are very similar too. I had considered both of these very closely, bu ended up with an LR3 because it was a bargain in used market price. I...

So, maybe it makes sense if the compressor is strong enough to lift the lighter rear, but not the front. I didnt clearly describe that I could reset the system and get the dash fault to go away for at least 3-4 minutes. "no special programs" upon startup, followed a minute later by "suspension...

Suspension Fault that would not go away. Rear axle would go up/down normally, but the front would hardly rise. Maybe an inch off the bumpstops initially, but it would sink back down. Especially slumped over on the front passenger side. Under warenty - The dealer thinks its the...

    Freelander TD4 Power problems

Sorry, for your problems. I think you are in the forum, definitely the wrong topic section. Probably would find more info in the Freelander sections. Im not sure about the freelander owners here, but this LR3 forum seems to be primarily US based and no Turbo Desiels here :-( Good luck!

Swapping 2008 rear lights with 2010

I agree, get LED replacement bulbs and call it good. I considered the Lr4 tail lights, but I would also need to replace the lamp guards. That pushed the price past ridicules into insane $ territory.

Need Advice On Purchasing A Used LR3

wheel shields block heat dissipation. Overheat your rotors and they will warp. Stopping a 3 ton truck creates dust. The top 5 best solutions I have found: 5) avoid stop lights/signs 4) get 5 spoke rims - 2x easier to clean 3) wax wheels for easier cleanup 2) semimetalic pads create less dust...

    Borrowing a Tow hitch

So the wiring kit is $120 and no one is going to loan you one. It is removable, but it would be a hassle. You will need one either way to be street legal. The hitch new is $410 + receiver and ball ($40) or go with the all in one euro version Part # KNB500070 In the long run shipping...

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

Sorry, I have never had a Kelty. It is better than my last Coleman tent, and certainly didnt disappoint. No leaks in the torrential downpour the one night we have used it. The 'sleeve' that goes around the back of the truck zips off for easy cleaning. The tent could be zipped up and used...

    How deep have you gone?

So is the driver side intake for show on a RRS? If not, this would confirm a theory of mine that the new lr4 would only need one snorkel. If the intakes merge somewhere before the engine, one unobstructed path should be sufficient for short submersions.
