What's up with this guy's grill?

Check out the LR3 (D3 in this case) with the black grill and four lights across it.

What's up with that grill? Is that just merely a factory grill painted? It looks aftermarket... I looks pretty sweet IMO

I beleive it is the stock grill painted.

I replaced my grill due to an unfortunate meeting with a chevy truck bumper. Rather that pay for getting it painted (it comes primer grey) I just spray painted it with some flat black lacquer. I think it looks awesome, and differentiates me from stock. Pretty easy to do and costs about $50 if you go with the new part.

I have seen that referred to as "frenched lights". You might have luck searching for that
