    I really like the D5 and priced one out multiple times. I crawled around in one, pushed all the buttons, and at the end of the day I just couldn't justify the price compared to the LR4 I have now. Also coming from a Jeep JK I really like the boxy look of the LR4.

    Here's a quick pic @iSurfvilano I actually like the additional step. I'm 6'2" and don't really have any issues using the upper step first however having the additional one actually works to just give me a little extra boost. The angle at the top looks a little off in the pic, it's pretty flat...

    First-time LR owner from WA (USA)

    Congrats and welcome...I've had my 2014 LR for a few months now and I'm getting used to the way it handles off-road which is a bit different than the Jeep I had. It's definitely more comfortable getting to the trails though...the Jeep beat me up a bit.

    @backcountryLR4 I know what you mean...I've bought the ProSpeed ladder, front protection, rack, compos, and KO2 as well in just a few months of ownership...I've spent more on this rig than the Jeep I had for 6 years. Oh...and just had the front brakes done....that hurt.

    ProSpeed Ladder - 4 hour install?

    Hi all...I just got done wrestling with installing the ProSpeed ladder. I had to modify the number light bar in order to accommodate the bolts that hold the ladder to the door. Anybody else struggle with installing this ladder? I have a 2014. Also I can see a bit of the ladder in the backup...

    Thanks @iSurfvilano I ordered the floors directly from ProSpeed but nothing else so I'm glad to hear Lucky8 ordered some of the other accessories. Too bad it's taken so long for the racks to come in...I could have used them this summer.

    Did you get an ETA on your rack -- I've been waiting on mine a couple of months now. Lucky8 has been good to work with, just really slow.

    I didn't have any issues with the swap on my 2014. It was a bit difficult to get the long rails removed due to the cap on the front -- it took quite a bit of effort to get them off. Once that's done it's as simple as removing the long rails and replacing with the short.

    Brake problem help requested

    So I heard back from the dealer and it sounds like it was the emergency brake not disengaging properly which caused the left rear to drag and superheat the rotor and everything else. A little worried about this since it happened at 70 MPH and 5 hours from home.

    Brake problem help requested

    What year is your LR4? I'm having a similar problem with my 2014. My drivers side rear caliper seemed to stick at 70 MPH and I could see the whole rear end shaking. Mine's going to the dealer on Saturday for investigation.
