    PURGE VALVE REPLACEMENT

Hi, again! I got the part from Atlantic British, but nowhere can I find clear directions on how to install this relatively simple part!! Does anyone know how to deal with this? Dan

OR....maybe I could just turn off by backup alarm when I have the trailer connected?? ;)

    Exhaust Mod

JWEST, I like your approach to two areas here: 1) Addressing the OP's main concern, and still keeping the exhaust going AWAY from the cabin of the vehicle. I would be concerned about carbon monoxide, given that it is odorless and insidious. Just because you can't smell exhaust, doesn't mean...

    Trailer wiring

I just now finished re-wiring my LR3 for a trainer, years after the hack-job done by a local U-Haul place. (They also installed a frame-mounted hitch, which makes removing the spare tire a real challenge, but that's a whole different thread...) I spent considerable time removing all the junk...

KEY FOB OPENED THE WRONG LR3!!!

It's hard to say; we were wondering the same. There is no way to know, at this point, whether or not the other LR3 was already open. She didn't hear anything to verify. We're just not used to people leaving their vehicles open, but I guess it's possible...

    PURGE VALVE REPLACEMENT

2006 LR3 is indicating that a purge valve replacement is pending (according to local establishment that specializes in Rovers). The mechanic there said that it is a relatively easy part to replace. What is the part number? Are there threads available? Thanks, Dan

KEY FOB OPENED THE WRONG LR3!!!

My wife thought she was opening her 2006 LR3 to load some things in the back, only to discover on entering it, that it was the wrong LR3!!! Has this happened to anyone else?!?!

    LEAKING WASHER RESERVOIR

Thanks, bbyer! This project looks like a lot more than I would have imagined! I think I'll do what Jwest suggested, before digging into this one!!! Dan

    LEAKING WASHER RESERVOIR

OK, so am I the only guy that has ever had a washer reservoir that leaks, and should be replaced???

    TAILGATE WON'T OPEN

Actually, mine didn't have that crummy, plastic little 'L'. Maybe it was the updated version? However, as a precaution, I did follow the advice of a video I saw on UTube, and used zip-ties to secure the end of the cable into the socket where it rests. I still like bbyers' idea of going back in...

    TAILGATE WON'T OPEN

OK, so a happy ending to my tale! Every once in awhile, the tailgate would open. So...I jumped on the opportunity to take it apart without having to deal with PITA of accessing the actuator from inside the Rover. One I got the carpeted panel off, carefully peeled the water shedder off to...

    ROOF RACK CROSS BARS

Hello, all! I'm looking for roof rack cross bars for my 2006 LR3. I don't think I'll use them that much, but the 'genuine' product is upwards of $400. I'm not sure if this is a good 'value', and I'm wondering if anyone can provide feedback on any of the many 'non-genuine' alternatives out...

    Cargo attic DIY

Just wondering... What is the potential of any of these storage areas releasing their contents during a serious collision (or off-roading), subjecting the passengers to painful projectiles??

    TAILGATE WON'T OPEN

Hello, all! I'm sure someone on this forum has had this issue before. The rear tailgate is no longer opening after I push the 'unlock' button, or try to activate it from the key fob. When I push the button on the door repeatedly, I can hear the motor inside getting fainter, until it's no longer...

2006 LR3 HSE Satellite XM radio capabilities?

I'm also curious about this thread; I have the same year and model as you. I didn't know that these were XM-compatible. As a work-around, I had XM installed external to the dashboard. I would change it promptly if I could.

    AIR SHOCKS REPLACEMENT

I've had my compressor replaced. Now, I still get the suspension fault light occasionally. I think I know what's going out next!! Has anyone replaced air shocks on the 06 LR3 HSE? How would one know which shock is responsible for the fault light? Is this the type of job that is NOT DIY??

    NEW ARNOTT COMPRESSOR CONCERNS

I had a new Arnott compressor installed by my indie shop, and I have concerns about the new position. I understand that this is a superior product, but the application of it is questionable. It now sits obviously lower on the frame rail, where the mounting bolts sit exposed to road hazards. In...

    REAR DIFFERENTIAL PROBLEM

Ironically, my indie shop recommended a local Aamco tranny shop that has had good success and positive feedback working on this issue in the Rover. I'm not sure how they would handle scanning the vehicle to make sure there aren't unrelated systems generating codes because of this system, loose...
