Increase mileage on LR3
This is an interesting post. I guess I don't understand the anxiety related to 'mileage'. After all, these are off-road, heavy trucks. And, we spend thousands of dollars keeping them running. I am one of those... When I had an AM General H1, it would get maybe 11 MPG; it weighed over 7500...- djatkinson

I hadn't considered the problem with the spare tire compartment. ;-) So I guess 285/60/18 BF Goodrich KO2s are out of the question. Looks like mounting it to bumper-mounted carrier may be the solution...- djatkinson

Going Back to Rovers after Toyota
Troy, that's good info for anyone looking to buy. On our 2006 LR3 HSE, which had 93K+ miles on it in 2010 (my wife's vehicle when I first met her on our first date!), the expenses were relatively minor; the usual stuff like brakes, tires, washer reservoir, and a hub. POWDER COATING STOCK WHEELS
