Very intermittent problem - Smart Key Not Found

Thanks, good to know. Both times I've gotten the error, the key has been in my left pant pocket. Maybe there is a dead zone in that area somewhere. Stupid electronics. I remember reading about the keyless module having to be replaced(every damn thing in this truck has a module). Good to know you...

Very intermittent problem - Smart Key Not Found

So one of the most frightening features(to me) of my 13 LR4 is this stupid radio key with no mechanical way of starting the car. Seriously, I am dreading the day it manages to no longer communicate between the key and the start module and then I'm stuck wherever I am. I bought the car in...

    Clunking persists after new bushings

Looks like they just replaced the fronts. Most likely, the rears need replacing too. Also, wonder if the ball joints themselves are going bad. At this pt, might just need new LCAs.

    Oem wheels

Nice to know that this fits but for us running the 255 55 19 stock size, this doesn't do anything in terms of sidewall increase. You get an inch more diameter, but it's all rim. I haven't checked yet but are tire choices any better in the new size? That itself might be appealing... Sent from my...

75k mile service - diff and transfer case fluid change

It is a dealer part, can get it in person from LR dealer or online. You need a dampener and a bolt. All the info is here, including part numbers. http://australiancar.reviews/_pdfs/SB-10069796-0699.pdf

75k mile service - diff and transfer case fluid change

Front diff was less than a quart(.6 maybe?). Xfer case was 1.5, rear was also 1.7 or so(big rear pumpkin, mine is a locker though. Open diff is smaller). I just filled them to fill holes.

    Control Arm bushings

@atlanticbritish You sell the green poly LCA bushings, as well as orange ones. I was always under the impression that the orange bushes were softer than the green but your chart above indicates otherwise. Can you confirm? I want as close to OEM firmness as possible. Thanks!

75k mile service - diff and transfer case fluid change

I just did this service on Saturday. Overall, wasn't too bad. Some notes: -For the most part, the video from Atlantic British is spot on and absolutely invaluable. Watch it, get all the bits ready in advance, it will save a lot of time. On mine, the heat shield and bracket under the pan was...

75k mile service - diff and transfer case fluid change

Thanks! Do you remember how much you ended up pumping in after draining? I bought 7 liters, figure that should be enough. Good to know about being equivalent, I figured the right LR part number on there was reassuring.

75k mile service - diff and transfer case fluid change

I am assuming you put Synchromax in the xfer case? What did the rear locker take?

LR4 Transmission oil change... mixed feelings.

@Kelly Barrie Let me know if the dampener ended up curing your buzzing. I still haven't installed mine yet and am planning on doing the transmission fluid change this weekend, at which pt I think I'll do the dampener too.

    19 " wheels

I looked into this earlier. One option is to run 255/60/19 on the stock wheels. This gives you an inch more diameter and you get more sidewall. There is an L322 Range Rover near my work that runs this size tire and looks great. The main issue I saw with this size is that it's hard to find tires...

    Crossover Pipe - Replace Pre-Emptively?

That was my question too - is there a metal replacement? I absolutely hate critical cooling parts made out of plastic and this seems like a design oversight...

    LR4 on 33's

I could have sworn I saw somebody running these on an LR4 without spacers...I think they ground the calipers down a bit? Or am I way off?

    Crossover Pipe - Replace Pre-Emptively?

Hey guys - I know the plastic crossover coolant pipe is a weak link in our cars and eventually, they all start leaking. Right now, mine is bone dry and shows no signs of leaking and coolant level has been steady. Should I replace it pre-emptively(along with the water pump), or wait until it...

    Pondering an LR4 - Question

My 2013 LR4 gets better mileage than my 08 Pathfinder v8 did, despite being heavier. I am averaging 16-17 and I don't mind it at all. I fuel up at costco or Shell/BP if I can use my fuelreward points.

    300k mile club

I've only owned mine since late November 2018, but I feel the same way. Love this thing. It does so many things very well, and I haven't even started upgrading anything. Great truck.

    LR4 Shock Longevity

Hey all and Happy Friday! I am starting to poke around my LR4's suspension and had a question. I know these things have traditional shocks with air springs on top, instead of a traditional coil spring. Most often, the air springs begin leaking and then you usually replace the entire...
