One of my front brake sensors (Front) is damaged and alerting. My pads are great with only a few thousand miles on them.
Do I need to pull pads to install the wear sensor? Or can I snap it in place without removing the pad mechanism?
Just curious.
Thanks
I'll have to put those on an alert. Pretty much everything is out of stock. The bullwhip effect on the supply chain from COVID is going to take a few years to straighten out.
That would be awesome if they actually lasted 30% of that time. We are talking about the rear hatch shocks right (not suspension)? My OEM started failing after 3 years.
Any better than stock rear hatch shocks? I'm sick of smashing my skull into the hatch as it slowly creeps down after opening it in the colder months. I'm already on borrowed neurons. I trust this forums opinion better than LR.
Cheers
Mike
MOAB..well I drove the mini cooper. It was sad. MOAB was fun, wlthough we had a huge blizzard snow storm heading over Vail pass. That was a nightmaire in the mini cooper.
I didn't want to risk stranding the family. SO I left the LR4 and all my off-road plans at home. I did drown my sorrows...
The Code was P0089 'Fuel pressure regulator performance'.
It keeps turning off and on. Although It has stayed on for about 4 hours.
The car is driving great.
I'm leaving in about 2 hours to MOAB. I can't fit the family in a 2011 MINI.
It keeps turning off and on. Possibly a bad sensor? I'm driving 400 miles to MOAB tomorrow. Wish me luck!
The car is functioning as normal, no lag or performance issues. I can't cancel this trip.
Any one have their engine light spring up when the tank is low? LR said the code was fuel system performance issue (I stopped by right as they were closing). They can't see my car for a few weeks.
I filled the car on the way home and the light turned off. I' supposed to leave for MOAB (my...
My wife wants to go on a Jeep Tour on a super mellow trail becaus we have little kids. I don't want to pay for this because we have a 2016 LR4 and also think its a waste to pay for a mellow trail tour. If I pay i'd prefer something beyond my skill set.
I'd rather drive ourselves on a mellow...
Thanks for the information and Experience! My 2015 LR4 tows 6k (airstream as well) great without the sway control hitch (I'm in CO as well). Going up the Pudre Canyon I get about 3-5 MPG. Which sucks.
sounds like they are clogged and pooling towards the center. Just my luck its raining....I'm going to painters tape a trashbag over the sunroof while its sits.
That is what I was thinking, most of the time its down the A pillars down to the floor right? I'll take a look tomorrow. With all the ash from last summers fires here in CO I don't doubt that they could have slowly clogged.
I know the answer is most likely the sunroof drains.... however I have a question.
The water is originating from the center of the windshield where my overhead console lights are. It has not spread more than a foot or so in each direction. Everything else is dry all the way to the A pillars...
The other posters are correct I had the exact same thing happen. Make sure you use metric drill bits not standard to get the correct fitting when it comes to the drilling portion.
Are these the bolts for the license plate area? Its been a few years since I installed mine. I vaguely recall having an issue, send a picture to jog my memory.
15,000 miles as designated by the owners manual. I'm at 32% of the recommended life for fully synthetic oil. 5K would only be required if using non-synthetic, 7-10k for Semi-Synthetic. (if I had the v8 from previous years).
2016 LR4 SCV6 recommended frequency in the user manual is 15k or 12...
I only have driven roughly 4.5k in the last 12 months due to the pandemic. Should I still get the annual oil change? My service reminder on the dash just popped up. I have 54k on the car. My last change was at 49.5k.
I do tow about 1k of those miles.
Thanks
Hey everyone, I am getting a rattle at 1100 RPM when moving. It sounds like something metallic is rattling or loose when I listen (drive by a large brick wall to get sound reflection with passenger window open). From the inside is sounds muffled, but its very annoying. Rain/shine/snow/cold/warm...
I just had new tires installed! before the snow last week. Nitto Range Grappler 265/60/r18 on compos (replacing BFG K02). I needed to switch from BFG K02 because they are unavailable for at least the next 8-14 weeks. We just had a few snows here in Colorado. They are 50% quieter on the road...
