After seeing what jeep is doing with the gladiator, I'm sorry to say but I cannot see how JLR is going to have any watershed moment with the "new" defender. They have totally botched the release of it, the build up. What a joke.
Only issue for me is rubbing on the ARB bumper skid plates when in reverse. I cut/slimmed my frame horns at the back of the wheel well. Otherwise they would definitely be rubbing there. Slight/minor rub on the slider. Will go away as they where down.
I thought we were talking about wheels and tires? ;-) I've tapped/connected a secondary hose to the plenum for the inlet, over the engine but keep it disconnected unless offroad/dusty as it causes a MAF fault. The 5.0 is a hungry beast for air. I've toyed with taking the snorkel and...
I recently put the cooper STT pros on mine and am taking it in to have a slightly larger KM3 put on next week. The coopers are loud. Seriously loud. I'm going to put them on my xventure trailer instead. My Toyo muds were quieter. Hoping the KM3 is quieter.
I ran the supercharged RR 20" wheels for a few years with Toyo mud terrains in the same size. Recently converted to compo's. I can sell you my spacers from Bora. Wheeling was certainly a bit more challenging but I'm also more slow/careful in general. I swapped to compo's primarily because I was...
I park mine for the winter and drive my winter-rat LR3. No issues. Just drive it once a week or so and if leaving it longer, jack stands and trickle charger.
This.
Evo Corso rims are now available for the LR4. https://www.mainlineoverland.com/collections/evo-corse-dakar-wheels/products/evo-corse-dakarzero-18x8-5-land-rover-lr4-5x120-et-35
Did you check the frame? Friend of mine recently got forced off a mountain road by a oncoming plow and hit a rock, similar damage. He had to replace his frame. Didn't notice it until he put all the new parts on but it was pretty clear.
Best rack on the market imho. I used a front runnner for a couple years. modified it every way I could but could not get rid of the wind howl. Swapped to the prospeed this winter. Best investment made.
My local dealer has a new d5, '17, full lock package, 11K below retail. I'm sure they would take less. They have tons of inventory.

Not particularly. The entire drivetrain is designed for binding side to side, front to back. I don't see how it would be different than applying the parking brake.
I'd tell them you want confirmation of a 1year warranty on the diff post flush. And call JLR if they baulk. You can also consider reviewing your consumer protection laws. They usually cover issues like this.
