After seeing what jeep is doing with the gladiator, I'm sorry to say but I cannot see how JLR is going to have any watershed moment with the "new" defender. They have totally botched the release of it, the build up. What a joke. -

Only issue for me is rubbing on the ARB bumper skid plates when in reverse. I cut/slimmed my frame horns at the back of the wheel well. Otherwise they would definitely be rubbing there. Slight/minor rub on the slider. Will go away as they where down. -

I recently put the cooper STT pros on mine and am taking it in to have a slightly larger KM3 put on next week. The coopers are loud. Seriously loud. I'm going to put them on my xventure trailer instead. My Toyo muds were quieter. Hoping the KM3 is quieter. -

I park mine for the winter and drive my winter-rat LR3. No issues. Just drive it once a week or so and if leaving it longer, jack stands and trickle charger. -

Hope you have some cut and weld skills for the front frame horns. Lift won't help that due to the width you chose. -

Prospeed Rack
Best rack on the market imho. I used a front runnner for a couple years. modified it every way I could but could not get rid of the wind howl. Swapped to the prospeed this winter. Best investment made. -
Is a d5 a great deal right now?

Not particularly. The entire drivetrain is designed for binding side to side, front to back. I don't see how it would be different than applying the parking brake. -

I'd tell them you want confirmation of a 1year warranty on the diff post flush. And call JLR if they baulk. You can also consider reviewing your consumer protection laws. They usually cover issues like this.
