That's too bad. I have not read any of the recent reviews now that the embargo was lifted. Didn't realize the inside has a tight feel. I definitely like the height of the LR3/4. It makes up for the width being on the narrow side (but that makes it fit nicer in my garage). -

:D That's a riot. I have two labs. I have had one of them jump over it on occasion. Now I open up the glass with my arm out ready to deflect escapes... I'm more afraid they are going to blow a shoulder out and cost me thousands than I care that they leap! -

That would be awesome. Buy the Defender, but get a tailgate/liftgate like the LR3/4 installed. Does the Defender rear window power down into the door? That would at least be one saving grace allowing you access without opening the gate.
