Welcome to the forum. I would check to make sure you don't have an air bag leaking. Being a 2007 there is a chance they have dry rotted. Soapy water should find leak.- joey

Discovery 2 - fender flares
Depends on how bad they are, but it is plastic, so I am sure you don't want to use too low a grit (i.e. 40 grit unless it is real bad) either way start heavy to light so several grits. Paint - Autozone sells VHT Black Plastic High Heat paint (overkill for this job, but...). -

It is not required, it makes the job a little easier, but you can use some wooden dowels as well. -

Pull it and replace the gaskets, don't over tighten. -

Could also be a bent cover. This is sadly normal on the D2. I bet the water pump was changed causing the damage. -

Someone changed it and over tightened it. It should just be over snug not 20 ft lbs of force. -

Start/Stop Battery Replacement
Try disconnecting the start/stop battery to see if the issue continues. (ground wire only) The only down site is you will have a start/stop error light.- joey

WTF caused this to happen to the oil???
Sadly every manufacture pushed the oil change limits with the plan that the engine will last through the warranty. That is all they care about. My Jag stated 1 time a year or every 15,000 miles. I changed it every 6,000 miles. Oil still looked new every change up till I sold it at 50,000 miles. -
